This session meant the world to me.
Natalie is one of my best friends, so getting to photograph her and Jaden during this sweet season of engagement was such an honor. I didn’t photograph the proposal itself, but documenting this chapter for them—the joy, the laughter, the way they love each other—was incredibly meaningful.
We met up at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions. It’s got everything: wide open fields, rustic fences, charming barns, and the kind of golden light that makes everything feel magical. It was the perfect setting for a couple like Jaden and Natalie- real and relaxed, playful, and full of life.
At first, they were a little shy in front of the camera (totally normal!), but it didn’t take long before we were laughing and joking like it was just another afternoon hanging out. That’s one of my favorite things about photographing friends—you get to witness their relationship from a whole new perspective. The way Jaden looks at Natalie, the way she lights up around him—it’s the kind of love that’s fun and real and steady.
We wandered around the farm, chasing the sunset, stopping selfies, dance breaks, and the occasional run-through-the-field moment. The best sessions are the ones that feel more like an experience than a photoshoot, and this was definitely one of those.
Natalie and Jaden, thank you for trusting me to capture this season. It’s been so sweet watching your love grow, and I can’t wait to celebrate all that’s ahead. Love you both so much!
